KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS,

In the fall of 1994 while investigating the vaccination issue, we were 
led to look into the works of Christian Science. After obtaining a copy 
of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by 
Mary Baker Eddy -- I, Penne D. Ard, experienced an unexpected healing 
during the reading of the aforementioned book. This made a lasting and 
profound impact on my family who had stood by me through years of 
suffering from chronic (including crippling psoriasis) and 
life-threatening diseases long given up by the medical profession -- 
all save my pharmacist father.

Our enthusiasm for this newfound Principle of healing proved to be a 
saving grace through subsequent frustrated dealings with the 
"official" Christian Science organization, as well as its local 
representatives in various states. When we later discovered the 
independent movement via the Internet, the puzzling contradictions 
between the organization and the healing Science itself finally became 
clear to us -- thanks to the information shared by loyal students of 
Mary Baker Eddy's works, "authorized" and otherwise.

We gratefully acknowledge and support the efforts of our fellow 
students to correct any and all disobedience to Mary Baker Eddy's 
God-inspired works, especially the "Church Manual" with its Deeds of 
Trust and Estoppel Clauses, which uphold our right to serve the Cause 
independently.  It is our belief that Mrs. Eddy intended for the works 
and symbols of Christian Science to be as universally free to the world 
as Christ Jesus freely gave his own -- both God's chosen witnesses and 
bearers of the Christian Cross and Crown.
